Designing a home for a sprawling rural landscape requires a deep sensitivity to the site’s existing ecosystem. The core vision for the Tanuku Farm House design was to create a structure that feels as though it organically grew from the earth. Instead of imposing a rigid, traditional box onto the property, we designed a sprawling, single-story layout that gently steps and flows with the natural topography. This thoughtful orientation not only preserves the existing mature trees but also ensures that every single room in the house captures framed, panoramic views of the lush surroundings.

To anchor the modern design in its rustic setting, we selected a highly tactile, earthy material palette. Locally quarried stone and exposed brickwork were utilized for the primary feature walls, offering a beautiful, grounded texture that contrasts elegantly with sleek, polished concrete floors. Sustainably sourced timber beams span the ceilings, bringing immense warmth and acoustic softening to the open-concept spaces. Because we prioritized natural materials, the home will age gracefully, weathering beautifully into its landscape over the decades.
